Are you passionate about helping young men in Buncombe County and the surrounding areas prepare for successful careers? The SPARC Foundation is looking for a Community Health Worker – Violence Prevention Professional (CHW-VPP) to support young men ages 18-24 in the Deaverview, Maple Crest, PVA-Pisgah View Apartments, Livingston, Klondike, Shiloh, and Wharton Apartments neighborhoods.

Your Role:
As a CHW-VPP, you will play a crucial role in achieving the following goals:
- Decrease repeated crimes within the specific population of young men ages 18-24.
- Decrease violent crimes within specific areas through paid educational training, workplace employment, and 12-month mentorship involvement and projects.
- Increase labor and education participation rates within these communities by supporting young men in accessing meaningful opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support young men by providing social and emotional support.
- Prepare them for the workforce with job placements and career guidance.
- Advocate for them in health, criminal justice, and education systems.
- Help them access necessary resources and services.
- Build trusting relationships and motivate them to succeed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in community health, social work, or related fields is a plus.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.

Pay: $38,000.00 – $40,000.00 per year
