People and Culture Coordinator

As we continue to expand our impact, we are seeking a People and Culture Coordinator to join our team. This role is essential in fostering an equitable, supportive workplace where our staff can thrive while serving the community. What We’re Looking For:

Our ideal candidate brings HR experience, keen attention to detail, and a commitment to continuous learning through an equity lens. They will play a key role in shaping our culture and core values while excelling in auditing files and recruitment. Experience in nonprofit settings is preferred, and familiarity with Medicaid compliance is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with leadership to assess personnel needs and oversee recruitment, screening, and interview coordination.
  • Lead onboarding efforts, ensuring new employees feel welcomed and aligned with SPARC’s mission.
  • Maintain compliance and organization of staff and client records.
  • Coordinate and schedule ongoing training to support staff development.
  • Manage staff equipment needs, tracking inventory and facilitating replacements or upgrades.
  • Assist in developing and implementing equitable agency policies and procedures.
  • Facilitate the IMPACT group, a key initiative that fosters collaboration, innovation, and organizational growth.
  • Ensure compliance with Medicaid standards and best practices.
  • Mediate and resolve workplace conflicts, fostering a positive team culture.
  • Lead the Quality Assurance Team to maintain and enhance service delivery standards.
  • Oversee internal and external audits, ensuring continuous quality improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • At least two years of experience in a human resources role.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to solve problems, resolve conflicts, and drive HR best practices.
  • Commitment to equity, inclusion, and fostering a supportive workplace.
  • Preferred: Experience in a nonprofit organization and familiarity with Medicaid service compliance.

Salary Range: $50,000 – $60,000 per year
