SPARC Foundation Hires Leasha Ogle
As People and Culture Coordinator
New Position Created by Board of Directors to enhance DEI Practices
(September 1, 2020, Asheville, NC) – The SPARC Foundation has hired Leasha Ogle, MSHR, to lead their HR Department as People and Culture Coordinator. With a focus on diversity, equity and inclusion throughout the nonprofit, Ogle will manage all HR processes, maintain quality assurance and ensure SPARC’s compliance with all labor laws and Medicaid regulations.
A graduate of UNCA, with a master’s degree in Human Relations from Western Carolina University, Ogle has over 7 years of HR experience; most recently serving as HR Manager and Volunteer Coordinator for The Salvation Army in Buncombe County.
“We are honored to have Leasha join our team,” says SPARC Executive Director, Jackie Latek. “Finding the right person, with a passion for our mission and a fit for our culture, has been a goal of ours for a long time. Now doing so, as we kick off our 5th year as a nonprofit, and especially in light of today’s climate which has laid bare even more of our community’s inequities, we not only respect Leasha’s professional and academic achievements, but we recognize and value her unique insight and wisdom from growing up in Asheville, as well. “
“I am so excited to join SPARC as the People and Culture Coordinator,” Ogle says. My passion is serving people so that they feel equipped and empowered to go out and serve people. The warm welcome I’ve received and the camaraderie I have observed, assure me that this team is exactly the one for me. I look forward to what we can accomplish together.”
